A red-eared slider turtle, Trachemys scripta elegans, was examined due to progressive anorexia and edema of the cervical and axillary areas. Radiographs revealed bilateral caudal coelomic mineral densities in the region of the kidneys. The turtle died within 48 hours of hospitalization. Post mortem examination revealed bilateral calcium phosphate ureteroliths and widespread dissemination of spirorchid trematode ova. [author abstract]
